Jane Clowes conceptual textile artist, working with ideas of time and trace. Highlighting the simplistic beauty
within everyday moments. After under taking a three month Artist in residency program in Mino Japan in September 2007.
The project saw Jane learning the traditional craft of making Washi
paper and using this within community art activities and within her own textile practice.
The new work created during the residency will continue to be exhibited in the U.K and internationally.
Jane is consolidating her new skills and using these in a series of talks and workshops.
Jane will be guest lecturer at the Moorlands Sixth Form College, Cheadle, Staffordshire Thursday 2nd October 2008.
Jane has been selected to take part in the Puzzle Project U.K. 20th October-12th November 2008. The Wall, The Gallery, Willesdon Green, London.
